BERNARDO GAMBOA
Civil Engineer from Universidad de los Andes, with a master’s degree in project management - MPM from Northwestern University. Born in Bogotá, Colombia 56 years ago.

From the beginning of his professional career and until 2003 Mr. Gamboa developed significant professional experience in managing capital investment projects, from the strategic planning consultancy to project management. During his time as Project Manager, Mr. Gamboa was responsible of the development of real estate projects (commercial and institutional) with investment value of more than US$1.5 billion both in Colombia and the United States, such as the Interdisciplinary Research Building (IRB) at the University of Chicago with an investment of more than four hundred million dollars.
On his return to Colombia in 2003, he became CEO of one of the most recognized engineering and construction services companies in Colombia, with a presence in different countries in Latin American. From that year until the end of September 2018 Mr. Gamboa served as CEO of engineering and construction service companies showing great ability to lead family businesses in transition to corporate governance structures and to lead the definition and implementation of growth strategies in the Latam Market.

In the companies he led, Mr. Gamboa played an important role in M&A, corporate reorganization, transition of family businesses, and international expansion through co-investments and alliance development.
Since 2018, Mr. Gamboa is Managing Partner of Global Project Strategy and provides consulting services in project, contract, and risk management in Capital Investment Projects, and Expert Witness services in engineering and construction disputes resolution in Latin America.
In addition to his experience as an executive of companies he serves as member of boards of directors of different companies, was operating partner of Advent Latam a private equity fund manager, mentor of Endeavor Colombia, and angel investor in Contech companies in Latam.
