Steven Chin

Steven Chin AIA, NCARB (Maryland) – Principal, Omnium Real Estate

Steve is a Principal at Omnium Real Estate, a firm focused on delivering a range of real estate and construction services, equity, and asset investments with long-term value returns. He is a seasoned project executive with extensive background and 40+ years of experience in mixed-use, municipal, and education facilities. Prior to Omnium, Steve was the VP for Development and Construction at Jair Lynch Development from 2002-2013, working with private and government clients where he oversaw the development and construction of various building types ranging from health clinics, education facilities, aquatic and recreation centers, public libraries and mixed-use multi-family as well as representing funding partners on public-private construction projects.  In 1998, Steve was employed by The Rise Group as Owners Representative and program-managed development of projects related to 11 schools for the Friendship Public Charter Schools in Washington DC and other Edison Schools partner clients throughout the east coast of US. And previously, he served as the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for projects in Brooklyn, NY, and DC.  

Steve’s early career included Project designer, architect and manager roles at firms in Washington DC and Hong Kong (Cooper Carry, Frank Schlesinger, Harry Weese, Wong Tung & Partners).  Steve holds a Masters in Architecture, Urban Design from Harvard University and a Bachelor in Architecture from University of Maryland
