Fortitude Global Associates

Application Period:    Open Now through January 15, 2025

10-week Program:  February 5 to April 12, 2025

Overview:

Through its college and university network, Fortitude aims to engage 12-15 schools in 10 to 14 different countries worldwide. From now through January 15, 2025, Fortitude will be accepting applications from college students in years 3, 4, or 5 of their education. The program's primary objective is to foster a globally diverse student body. This will be achieved by selecting at least one student from every participating university, forming a student cohort of 12-15 individuals. Selection criteria will prioritize first-generation college students, underprivileged, and underserved individuals, with an emphasis on creating geographical, cultural, gender, ethnic, racial, and educational diversity.

Upon selection, students will work one on one with an assigned Fortitude Advisor, a highly experienced global design and construction executive. Together, they will develop a personalized professional development plan focusing on career goals, talents, strengths, interests, and areas of motivation. The program format includes various one-on-one engagements with Fortitude Advisors, participation in small group exercises, and involvement in collective group and global discussions.

Upon completion of the program, students will earn the designation 'Fortitude Global Associate,' granting them global networking access. Furthermore, each student will conclude the program with a profound understanding of the myriad career possibilities within the built environment.

Key Program Outcomes

  1. Students shall gain direct one-on-one exposure, establishing meaningful relationships with senior design and construction global executives.

  2. Upon program completion, students will have crafted a personalized Professional Development Plan through the Fortitude Professional Development Process. This plan will be shaped by individualized talent and motivational assessments, coupled with one-on-one goal setting facilitated by a senior executive.

  3. Students will be part of a globally diverse cohort, fostering connections within a student peer group spanning the globe.
