Thomas Gannon is a Global Design & Construction Executive that has developed, implemented and led large-scale complex capital programs within a variety of market segments Worldwide. Thomas is a strategic leader that has built and led high performing teams on both a national and global scale delivering high quality user experience driven space, innovation, and value for diverse organizations including start-up companies and Global Fortune 100’s. Development projects executed on 5 continents in 40 countries include ground-up campus development ($250mm+), commercial, retail, healthcare, hospitality and education with aggregate value greater than $5 billon. Responsibilities within these capital programs include providing the organizational leadership that either created or revamped the organizational design resulting in improved efficiencies with people, process and procedures for the end to end delivery of capital projects and programs. Core strengths include team building skills with the ability to develop, manage and lead small to large complex teams within a diverse set of project types and market segments. Thomas has held Senior Executive positions for marquis companies, such as American Express, Fidelity, WeWork, and McDonalds. In addition to his current focus at Avenues, he has an exceptional expertise in building schools, including opening over 100 schools while delivering over 3mm sf of educational space across the U.S. with Edison Schools and spent his earlier career years with Turner Construction.
Thomas spent over 24 years in the United States Marine Corps as both an active and reserve officer, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He has an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut and a BS in Construction Management.
